On Monday 2nd December, Sources Rosport, a Luxembourg company specialising in the bottling of natural mineral waters, had the honour of welcoming the Hereditary Grand Duke, accompanied by the Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Tourism and Energy, Mr Lex Delles. Fernand Ernster, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, and Stéphanie Weydert, Mayor of Rosport-Mompach, accompanied the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Minister on their visit. The visit was part of a family tradition, as both His Royal Highness’s parents, his grandfather and great-grandmother had already had the opportunity to visit this emblematic company in the past.

During his visit, the Hereditary Grand Duke showed a keen interest in the company’s development, as well as the economic and ecological challenges it faces. Management representatives presented and explained the various stages of production, from water collection to bottling, highlighting the company’s constant efforts to innovate and preserve the exceptional quality of its mineral waters. The new PET bottle blow-moulding machine was also presented.
In an increasingly competitive market, Sources Rosport has managed to maintain its Luxembourg identity while adapting to consumer expectations. The company is 100% owned by the Reiffers family, who attach great importance to its history and its Luxembourg roots. During the discussions, the management team highlighted the efforts made to strengthen sustainable development and reduce the ecological footprint: bottling in refillable glass bottles, reducing plastic packaging, increasing the proportion of recycled materials, setting up a short, 100% local consumption and recycling circuit, and developing environmentally-friendly energy solutions.
The Hereditary Grand Duke has also been attentive to the company’s initiatives to support the local economy, such as the creation of job opportunities and the constant search for local suppliers able to meet its quality charter.
